Timeless yet modern, chic yet understated: meet Da/Da, a quintessentially Parisian brand with global appeal, inspired by masculine codes.

In reference to the offbeat appeal of Dadaism – as well as designer Diane Ducasse’s own nickname – Da/Da reinvents masculine codes to create sophisticated staples for modern women. Versatility is at the brand's core: “I always want to create pieces that can be used in many different ways,” Ducasse explains to ORDRE fashion director Kirsten Lock in Paris, pointing to pieces from her AW’19 collection such as sleek corduroy jumpsuits in tangerine or dusty blue, and wrap blazers that tie at the waist.

Designs are subtly playful, often explored through cuts, colours and volume on elegant suiting, and knotted details devised to enhance the female form with ease. “You won’t find black in my collections,” she goes on to confess. “I love colour, even for winter.” Since launching in 2016, this chic yet understated aesthetic has charmed global retailers like Shop Super Street in LA, Frankie Shop in New York and Midnight Express in Istanbul; now Ducasse has her heart set on entering department stores including Barneys in the US and Selfridges in the UK. Below, find out what makes Ducasse tick and why Da/Da is one to keep an eye on.
