Osman Yousefzada was brought up by a family of artisans, with a carpenter father and a tailor as a mother, so it was quite a natural progression to pursue fashion design. In 2008, he launched his eponymous label which has evolved to be a mix of award-winning craft, bold colour palettes and architectural, sculptural designs.
Alongside various collaborations with highstreet retailers and avant-garde artists, as well as opening his own multi-faceted concept store in Covent Garden, Yousefzada has since dressed the likes of Beyonce, Thandie Newton, Charlize Theron, Emma Watson and Taylor Swift - a list of clientele which embodies the energy and success of his luxury house. And Yousefzada’s SS’20 season had that trademark energy, infused with inspiration from “the African plains to a Parisian nightclub” as the designer says. But for the first time he has also designed shoes to more personally accessorise his womenswear, which are now available at Matches Fashion.
