Art Fair Affair: Top Fashion Frieze Events of 2019

London’s Frieze Art Fair is the latest promotional opportunity for luxury brands. These events illustrate how to tap the trend effectively.

European fashion month has drawn to a close but fear not, Frieze is here to quench your creative thirst. Fifteen years ago, it was merely a lone tent set up in Regents Park. Fast forward to now: Frieze London and Frieze Masters (selling art pre and post 2000) boast a talented, multi-faceted line-up of hundreds of artists and over 180 international galleries - with displays in that same park - attracting a (wonderfully attired) worldwide audience. Since 2012, the annual art fair has hit New York every May and in 2018, it launched an annual event every February in Los Angeles.

As part of its expansion, a range of commercial events now run parallel to the main show too. And no matter your stance in the continuous debate of fashion as art, the industry naturally embraces the festival’s celebration of artistic design. Utilising the luxury audience of art buyers all flocking to London, retailers from MatchesFashion to Ganni’s Flagship are hosting panel talks, pop-ups, installations and more.

This year, Frieze London occurs alongside Frieze Masters and is open to the public from 3-6th October 2019, with two invitation-only preview days on 2nd and 3rd. To make sure you don’t miss out, here’s our list of the top Frieze-fashion events taking place.
