Born in Colombia and raised in Miami, Esteban Cortázar moved to Paris in 2007 to be creative director of Emanuel Ungaro before launching his label in 2012 exclusively on Net-a-Porter. Eight years ago, the designer pioneered the model of producing collections before he'd even shown, which was formative for both his business and the entire fashion industry.
