2018 was another huge year for sustainability, as awareness and discussion accelerated in the world of fashion and beyond. Protests against goverment inaction on climate change have gathered momentum, billion dollar businesses have committed to banning single use plastics, virgin material and fur, while exhibitions like the V&A's Fashioned From Nature have shone a spotlight on our work so far.
The following five stories are my highlights from the year — some of which I've written, and others I've had the pleasure of reading. Meeting Kresse, of luxury sustainable brand Elvis & Kresse, was a particular stand out moment, being able to witness her drive, passion and sense of urgency to find innovative ways of recycling waste materials into accessories.
