Woolmark Looks to the Future Of Fashion for 2018 Prize

Fashion's most talked-about designers embraced Virtual Reality, 360˚photo technology, interactive touch-screens and ORDRE's wholesale App to power their prize

Today, The Woolmark Company announced its partnership with ORDRE.com for the second year running, to present the International Woolmark Prize winner and finalist capsule collections to the platform’s invitation-only Retail Network, where global retailers will be able to place wholesale orders. Through ORDRE.com, retailers will be able to review the capsule collections in 360° view and Virtual Reality.
 

The award was judged by a highly esteemed panel including Elizabeth Von Guttman, Emanuele Farneti, Julie Davies, Livia Firth, Liya Kebede, Miroslava Duma, Nonita Kalra, Phillip Lim, Riccardo Vannetti, Sarah Mower, Stuart McCullough and ORDRE’s very own CEO Simon P Lock, along with representatives from the International Woolmark Prize retail partner network: Boutique 1, Boon The Shop, David Jones, Harvey Nichols, Hudson's Bay, Lane Crawford, L'Eclaireur, mytheresa.com, Parlour X, Ssense.com, Sugar and Tata CLiQ Luxury.
 

Matthew Miller, Bodice and Dyne were today announced as the winners of the menswear, womenswear and Innovation Prize respectively for the 2017/2018 International Woolmark Prize, presented at a special event during Pitti Uomo at Stazione Leopolda in Florence. The winners will be on ORDRE.com for 1 year, and present their full collection next season. ORDRE technologies were evident at the International Final event, with the company’s interactive touch-screens merging online and offline experiences in the physical showroom, and Virtual Reality video capture of the Finale reveal.
